In this unit we will explore policy making. Moreover, we will examine the complexities of policy making involving various government institutions. You will be able to apply your knowledge to better understand the intricacies of the policy making process.
As we learned from chapter 1, the Constitution separates power between the branches horizontally giving each branch their own distinct responsibility. The Constitution also provides various checks and balances to reign in power of any branch. We will further explore these foundational features of our democracy in this Unit. Part A of unit 2 focuses primarily on the roles of the Legislative and Judicial branches. |
